Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have welcomed their first child over the holidays. The celebrity couple have quietly welcomed their new born babe near their home in Bedfor, New York just before the New Year.

According to a report with New York Post's Page Six, the couple's child arrived earlier than expected. However, both mother and child are "healthy and are doing fine." The baby's sex is yet to be revealed.

Reynolds, 37 and Lively, 27 were married in 2012. The 'Gossip Girls' star has looked stunning as of late as an expectant mother, often appearing on the red carpet in stunning gowns and slinky dresses. The stunning blonde has said in October that she is excited about the prospects of motherhood and that it has been a "dream come true for her".

"Its something that I've always wanted ever since I was a little girl...I knew I wanted to have a lot of kids because I had come from a big family so it was always important to me. So it's just the excitement of that finally being here." the star said in an interview with Us Weekly.

On the other hand, Reynolds couldn't be more excited to be a father. The actor has even joked in an interview with People giving their child a Hollywood-y sounding name.  "On the plane over here I was trying to think of baby names. I don't want a name that's anything pretentious or, like, Hollywood-y," the actor joked. "So I'm going with Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds ... that's if it's a girl."

The actor continued that he is happy about the prospects of fatherhood.

"I'm just excited about having a buddy," he said. "For a lot of new dads, you tend to dwell on the mistakes you don't want to make. I'm at that stage still where I'm focused primarily on being open and understanding and leaving a lot of room for error."

One thing is for sure, the baby will indeed be one of Hollywood's most beautiful babies.
