Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran seem to have patched things up since their rather bitter and messy feud on Instagram. The celebrity pair have reunited over New Year's Eve and are reportedly taking their relationship more  seriously. However, the couple's relationship seems to be taking its toll on Tran's family life.

According to an exclusive report with Hollywood Life, the couple's relationship is "putting a strain" on Tran's relationship with her family. The aspiring model is reportedly upset that her family doesn't approve of her boyfriend. Though the couple have only just gotten back together, Brown and Tran are already considering marriage. A report says that Karrueche sees herself as "Mrs. Brown."

The source from Hollywood Life reveals that the family disapproves of Brown's treatment of Tran.

"Karrueche understands her family's reasons for not liking Chris. She's tired of hearing them tell her how awful he's treated her and how she should leave him and be with someone else who they think will treat her better. Karrueche absolutely respects her family and loves them to death but she's not going to leave Chris and it's causing tension," the source says.

The couple are reportedly working on making things work with Tran's family. The source hints that a talk with Tran's mother might be the solution.

"She's hoping that Chris and Joyce Hawkins will be willing to sit down for a meal with some of her family and just hash their feelings out. She wants everything to be out in the open and address whatever issues the sides have," the source continues.

The rapper had recently earned the ire of fans when he bailed on his New Year's Eve concert in Manila, Philippines. He cited on his Twitter that he had to cancel the concert due to "unfortunate circumstances." While it was said that Brown had lost his passport, the source with Hollywood Life says that the real reason why he ditched his fans was to be with Karrueche

Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran have started dating when Brown was together with Rihanna. The rapper briefly broke things up with her when he [Brown] confessed in a leaked video that he was "in love with two people at the same time." 

The controversial couple broke up a few weeks ago when the recording accused the model of cheating on him with rapper Drake and engaging in 'threesomes'. The two have exchanged rather bitter words on Instagram. 

For a time, Brown was linked to 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' star, Kendall Jenner.
