The "Winds of Winter" is still being written by George RR Martin and it is the sixth installment in the epic novel "A Song of Ice and Fire". It was adopted by HBO in its famous "Game of Thrones" TV Series. While the storyline of the TV Series is catching up really fast with the novel, the author remains steadfast in his writing pace.

Reportedly, George RR Martin is really concerned with the timeline between the Novel and the TV show. The author says that "The show is definitely catching up with the books. There's no doubt the show is moving faster than I am writing the books." He also added that "There was a certain point a few years ago when I was freaking out about that. My obligation is to finish the books as strongly as I can. I can't speed that process up by wishing it was speeded up."

George RR Martin used to be anxious about the fact that the production of Game of Thrones TV Series may come up with the storyline of the novel and he needs to write and finish it up faster that he would according to Air Herald . However, Martin says that he does not want to rush the book since it will affect the quality and it may cause more harm than to please his fans.

When he was asked if he was struggling in writing the "Winds of Winter," George RR Martin responded that the hardest thing he wrote was actually the infamous "Red Wedding" event. Fans of the novel and the TV show knows that the "Red Wedding" is one of the most intense part of the epic novel's third book, "A Storm of Swords."

George RR Martin had a struggle killing some characters in his books as reported. He said that he was only able to finish the "Red Wedding" event after he finished the rest of the story in the book.

The "Winds of Winter" does not have a definite release date yet but the fans of George RR Martin's epic novel "A Song of Ice and Fire" may relive their fantasy in the upcoming Season 5 of the Game of Thrones in HBO this coming spring 2015.
