Actor Jo In Sung bags the highest award in '2014 Style Icon Awards;' TaeTiSeo, 4Minute, CL and more perform during the ceremony

The "2014 Style Icon Awards" (SIA) took place on October 28 at the Dongdaemin Design Plaza in Seoul.

SIA presented 10 "Style Icon Awards" (Bonsang) to 10 artists who showed outstanding influence and style through their fashion for the past year. This year's award recipients include Kim Soo Hyun, Jo In Sung, Kim Hee Ae, Park Hae Jin, Go Ara, Yoo Jeon Seok, TaeTiSeo, 4Minute, g.o.d, SISTAR's Soyou, Allkpop reports.

SIA also recognized a number of new artists for their contribution in style and fashion. In the ceremony, WINNER, Sung Joon, and Han Groo were recognized as "New Icons." After School's Nana received the "K-Beauty" award, which was given to recognize her contribution on fashion and entertainment. The recipients were revealed hours prior the ceremony.

The 2014 'Style Icon of the Year,' which is the highest award of the ceremony, went to actor Jo In Sung. "I think this is the coolest award of the awards I've received," said Jo In Sung during his speech as he received the award.

"I've always accepted awards on behalf of others, but in this moment, I want to accept this award for myself, who has come this far and who will continue to run the race."

The event was graced by a number of celebrities including actors, solo artists, and idol groups.

The ceremony, which had theme "Seoulite, light, night," was made even brighter with the performances of some K-pop acts. Some of the night's performers are Girls' Generation's sub-unit TaeTiSeo, SISTAR member Soyou, 4Minute, and 2NE1's CL with American DJ and music producer Diplo.

 "Style Icon Awards" celebrates the contribution of influential people in the fashion world for the past year. According to Allkpop, the award giving body also holds a film festival and concert, as well as media artist excavation project.
