EXO member Tao was spotted by a Chinese media outlet allegedly kissing and hugging a woman together with what it seems to be a group of friends.

The alleged footage of the idol was uploaded by the Chinese program "Sohu Entertainment." The video showed a man with striking similarities to Tao hugging and leaning down to kiss a girl.

There were speculations that Tao and the woman who appeared to be very close to each other are dating. Some netizens who watched the video suggested that it might not be the EXO member at all

After the news broke, SM Entertainment, Tao's management agency, spoke about the controversy involving the singer.

As reported by Allkpop, SM's statement reads:

"We'll be aggressively looking into taking legal action against the media outlets that distorted reports as well as those who distributed the rumors of Tao and his friends saying their goodbyes to one another. Moreover, we will take aggressive action against rumors about the false or distorted information."

Meanwhile, SM Entertainment did not address rumors that EXO will be having a comeback on the 25th this month.

It was previously reported that industry insiders have suggested the idol group will be pushing through with their planned comeback. While it remains unclear if Luhan, who recently filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment, will be reuniting with the remaining 10 members of the idol group.

Remaining members Suho, Chanyeol, Chen, Xiumin, Baekhyun, Kai, D.O, Sehun, Lay, and Tao have not spoken about the alleged comeback nor teased fans about it. Recently, Lay and Sehun posted the same photo on their respective Instagram accounts. The photo shows the ten members happily posing while having a meal.

After Luhan filed a lawsuit, it remains unclear if EXO will continue promoting as EXO-M and EXO-K or as the full 10-member EXO.
