Samsung recently unveiled its flagship phablet today, September 3. The announcement was made at simultaneous events in Beijing, Berlin and New York.

Yoon Han-Kil, senior vice president of Samsung's product strategy team, told Reuters that the firm is to launch a new Galaxy Note handset with a "new form factor" in the second half of the year.

Eraphone earlier leaked details the Galaxy Note 4 and gave detailed information about its specs. It revealed that Note 4 will have a bigger screen at about 5.9 inches, matching LG G Flex. On the other hand, it was also deduced that SM-N910A will be at 5.7" with a Quad HD resolution.

According to multiple reports, the user can use his handwriting to unlock the device and perform various functions like calling contacts with the use of the Samsung S Pen stylus. It is also expected to run on Google's new operating system Android, "Lollipop."

Moreover, Note 4 is said to come with another powerful processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805, a quad-core Krait 450 chip which can be clocked up to 2.7GHz and has an Andreno 420 GPU. Its memory is said to include three storage capacities: 16, 32 and 64GB along with a whopping 4GB of RAM. The phone is expected to have a microSD card slot capable of allowing to unit to have up to 128GB. It's also believed that Samsung will increase the Note 4's RAM to an impressive 4 GB.

The device's camera is expected to have 16Mp (3456 x 4608 pixels) rear camera with optical image stabilization, autofocus and a dual-LED flash and video shoot of 4K resolution (2160p@30fps).

Sammobile said that this device will also house interesting features like retina scanner, UV sensor, and ultrasonic cover. Its SamsungExynos account even teased the features of the upcoming gadget, which read, "Security can be improved using features unique to us. That's what we envision. What would you use?"

The Ultrasonic cover will reportedly be of assistance to those who are visually impaired because it can detect nearby objects and give appropriate feedback. Its UV sensor will supposedly protect users from the harmful effects of UV radiation by measuring the amount of radiation and warning the users if they're already getting too much sun. Note 4 will also feature fingerprint scanner, very much like iPhone's TouchID, which will be built into the home button.

PCAdvisor made an estimate of the possible price of Note 4 and reported that it's likely to come in between £550 and £600, which is in the price range of the Galaxy S5. Evleaks added that the Galaxy Note 4 will come in the same colour options as the Galaxy S5. That means it will be available in Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold. Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be designed as a dust-free and waterproof phone much like Sony's Xperia Z1 Compact.
