Canadian institutional fund manager La Caisse De Depot Et Placement Du Quebec has spent C$42 million to support the Parc des Moulins wind energy project which is run by Invernergy Wind LLC. Other details about the investment deal were not disclosed, but Invenergy will hold the controlling stake in the said project, according to North American Wind Power.

La Caisse infrastructure senior vice president Macky Tall explained: "In line with our strategy, we continue to invest capital in quality infrastructure to generate attractive long-term returns for our clients. Alongside Invenergy, which operates and manages projects to the highest industry standards, we have already invested in several wind farms in Quebec, Canada, and the United States."

Last year, the fund manager announced that it had picked up a stake in the wind farm portfolio of Invenergy. This consists of two wind farms in Canada and 11 in the US, the report added.

Operational beginning December 2013, Parc des Moulins is a wind farm with a capacity of 135.7 MW. The project covers the Thetford Mines, Saint-Jean-de-Brebeuf, and Kinnear's Mills municipalities in Quebec, North American Wind Power reported.
