Brigade Media is a startup yet to be launched. However, the stealthy startup has taken USD9.3 million worth of funds from Facebook’s fame Sean Parker. The investment was also brought in by other investors including Marc Benioff and Ron Conway, reported TechCrunch. The report went on saying that Parker made a personal investment and did not come from his former group, Founders Fund.

Parker would also sit as Brigade’s Chairman and CEO on interim basis, said a TechCrunch report. Meanwhile, John Thrall from Yahoo would sit as CTO for the company while Adam Conner from Facebook would sit as the company’s Vice President. David Henke will be the head of Brigade Media’s engineering unit.

Sources close to the company had been willing to broaden the vision of the company but did not provide details on the products that Brigade Media offers. According to TechCrunch, the vision of the company simply translates to “The company thinks that American democracy is adrift.”
