Online shoppers’ aid The Hunt has taken in new funds valued USD10 million. According to a report from TechCrunch, the new funds came from Khosla Ventures and Javelin Ventures. The report added that the new funds The Hunt has raised totals the company’s funding to USD15.5. Ben Ling from Khosla would join the board of directors of The Hunt as part of the funding agreement.

Notable personalities who have invested in the company included Ashton Kutcher, Madonna’s manger Guy Oseary and Tyra Banks.

The online website The Hunt gives shopping services that are driven towards the community. The website aids customers in finding and buying products they see on photos and social network platforms. The startup was launched last January enabling users to post “hunts” from pictures they have seen in Pinterest, Tumblr and from other social media sites they are looking for. Members of the community would then identify or suggest related products.

According to The Hunt, it receives 500,000 monthly active users. Meanwhile, active users on mobile were reported to be 100,000.
