Hospitality startup Airbnb widens service market to Los Angeles

Airbnb, a hospitality startup firm, has ventured into another market through a cleaning service partnership. The reported expansion was confirmed after the startup posted about it on its website. The expansion listed New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco as the startup’s markets where cleaning services are offered, reported TechCrunch. Customers could sign up to get their areas cleaned even while there are still guests staying in their spaces.

The cost of cleaning offered by Airbnb is priced at USD55 for a single bedroom with one bathroom space. This was according to an email sent to TechCrunch by the startup. Airbnb’s cleaning services offered in San Francisco and New York City was through a partnership with Homejoy and Handybook.

In the last few years, Airbnb has already grown following services are now being offered to be a part of a worldwide trademark. The company also received new funding which valued Airbnb at USD10 billion.
