Chicago startup Food Genius analyzes and detects future food trends in the US

Chicago startup Food Genius supplies food firms with data to help them determine their standing and market strategy, according to Upstart Business Journal.

According to founder Justin Massa, Food Genius detects a rising trend even before it pops out. This gives companies a lead in designing a new concept for their products, the report explained.

Recently, the big data startup has shifted its focus on burger data. Food Genius releases a video report entitled "Flipping the Burger" to help burger companies determine their standing and competition in the industry, the report said.

According to Food Genius' latest report, burgers are among the most common dishes in the country. Surprisingly, the report showed that the peppers are toppings are mentioned more than pickles. In addition, cheddar cheese is the top cheese topping for the said dish. Iowa is the state with the most number of burger mentions on restaurant menus, the report relayed

The clients of Food Genius include national restaurant chains, grocery outlets, convenience stores, manufacturers, and food distributors. Kraft, Applebee's, and Procter & Gamble are among the startup's most prominent customers. The Chicago startup aims to understand the present future food trend in America and predict future trends, according to Food Genius' web profile.
