American Java PaaS firm CloudBees snags $11.2M in third funding round
CloudBees has secured $11.2 million in its Series C financing with Verizon Ventures as its lead investor, according to TechCrunch.
The latest funding brings CloudBees' total raised capital to $25.7 million. Other investors in the said round are Matrix Partners, Lightspeed Ventures, and Blue Cloud Ventures, the report detailed.
The Massachusetts-based firm will use the new funding to drive its sales and increase its revenue. The company plans to expand its market reach outside of the country, the report stated.
According to Boston Business Journal, the investment deal allowed CloudBees' Java PaaS (Platform as a Service) service called Jenkins CI to be available on the new cloud platform of Verizon. The said service facilitates a more convenient way for businesses to develop enterprise software, the report explained.
Boston Business Journal also cited CloudBees vice president of business development Andrew Lee saying they will pour more efforts into the company's general expansion next year.
