Pharell William's come back single "Happy" has not only gone viral on the internet. The laid back, happy, groovy song has also danced its way to the Oscars awards night. Pharell wore one of his famous hats during his performance of the song at the 86th Academy Awards night. The event was held at Dolby Theater last March 2.

This week, the 40 year old singer's song has been sitting comfortably at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. The song "Happy" was originally made for the movie Despicable Me 2 and was later on decided to be a part of Pharell's album.

Along with Let It Go from the animated film Frozen, Her's The Moon Song and Ordinary Love from Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Happy was nominated in the Academy Awards for Best Original Song. Pharell's hit didn't bag the award, Let It Go won, but his performance captured the crowd and billions of viewers at home.

Apart from his groovy performance that got big names in Hollywood to be dancing along with him, Pharell showed up on the red carpet wearing a pair of tuxedo shorts along with his wife Helen Lasichanh.
