Smart calendar app Cal has released a new feature called HeadsUp that helps users go through meeting and appointment-related tasks easily. The app is currently available on Android and will soon be rolled out on iOS, according to TechCrunch.

HeadsUp helps its users arrive to the meeting place, take notes, and make reminders during the meeting itself. The feature also helps users put together the minutes and send out tasks to group members after the meeting, the report detailed.

Users need to enable HeadsUp in Cal's settings before they can use it. As the meeting draws nearer, the app will show a pop-out reminder on the user's screen. Tapping on the reminder will open several options including Google Maps directions and a link to taxi-service apps. It also has a video and audio recording feature. After the meeting, the user can instantly send attendees a summary or task assignment via email, the report explained.

Cal is integrated into its maker, Any.do, a task management application. Any.do has recently raised $3.5 million in new capital, TechCrunch reported.
