Massachusetts digital video ad firm Extreme pockets $50M in venture capital

Needham-based video ad platform provider Extreme Reach has nabbed $50 million in venture capital. The news is based on the company's latest filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), according to Digital Media Wire.

Village Ventures, Greycroft Partners, Spectrum Equity, and Long River Ventures participated in the said venture round, the report added.

Extreme Reach caters to over 3,000 advertising clients and agencies to provide them with an integrated platform for advertising via TV, online, and mobile. Founded in 2008, the company links its clients with media outlets to simplify the process of managing, delivering, and monitoring ad campaigns across various modes of media, the report detailed.

In 2013, Extreme raised $50 million in a previous venture round, the report stated.

The video ad firm is headed by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Roland. The company has raised a total of $111 million in funding to date. Extreme is currently based in Needham, Massachusetts, according to the company's Crunchbase profile.
