Prague-based social analytics firm Socialbakers scores $26M in Series C funding
Social media analytics firm Socialbakers announced that it has secured $26 million in Series C financing, according to TechCrunch.
The third funding round was led by Index Ventures. Existing investor Earlybird Venture Capital also contributed to the financing. The latest round brings Socialbakers' total raised capital to $34 million, the report detailed.
In 2013, the firm had several notable achievements. According to Socialbakers, its revenue had tripled, and it had launched its analytics platform. In addition, the social analytics company had gained over 1,000 clients and managed to hire its first Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Currently employing 300 people in its team, the company plans to increase its workforce to 400 this year, the report said.
Index partner Jan Hammer said of the company: "Socialbakers is positioned to move from leading the social analytics category, to defining the next generation of insight-driven social marketing applications."
Socialbakers was founded in 2009. It is currently based in Prague, TechCrunch reported.
