Travel startup Inside.co launched its portal for $10 travel guides today. The portal aims to help travelers familiarize a new place within just three days, according to VentureBeat.

Founded by Boulder, Colorado-based serial entrepreneurs Brady Becker and Andrew Hyde, Inside helps travelers shorten the process of travel planning and eliminate guesswork. The Inside Travel Guides, which also has a mobile version, provides a day-by-day and place-by-place itinerary for the startup's customers. The tips are written by locals, the report said.

Hyde explained the challenge presented to Inside's writers: "Imagine visiting your best friend in a city you've never been. Unexpectedly, they've had to travel out of town. They left on their counter with instructions on how to have a great time while they are away - their day-by-day guide makes you feel welcome and directs you to those hidden places you'd never find on your own. This is what you are writing for fellow travelers."

Inside aims to make travelers feel like a local when showing them around a new place, the report added.

Revenue from the travel guides are divided equally between Inside and the writers, VentureBeat reported.
