Stores that open early for Black Friday may lose shoppers. According to a report on CNNMoney , shoppers were not happy about major retailers who plan to open early on Thanksgiving that they are threatening a boycott.

KMART intends to open doors for 41 hours starting at 6 AM. Toys "R" Us will begin its Black Friday operations at 5 PM while Best Buy will start deals at 6 PM. Although many Wal-Mart stores will be open all day, the deals will begin at 6 PM. Other retailers like JC Penney, Macy's and Kohl's will unlock their doors at 8 PM.

The irate shoppers who took their protests online shared a badge on Facebook which read "I pledge to not shop on Thanksgiving." It was shared over 959,000 times as of noon on Wednesday, the report said.

The CNNMoney report shared some of the sentiments that the protesters posted on social media, many of whom shared the view that employees should be given time to spend with their families on Thanksgiving.

Frank Chip Munroe wrote, "Hey Kmart! Because of you being Open on Thanksgiving and totally disrespecting your employees, Our Family will never spend a $ in your store!"

Jaime Etheridge Krauss  wrote on the Facebook page of Toys "R" Us, "5 pm open on Thanksgiving? Really? A store who is devoted to children and families opens when Americans sit down at the dinner table? What about your employees?!?"

Kelli Williams Lord said Kohl's had been a favorite shopping place but it won't be for long. Lord added, "However, as much as it breaks my heart to say this I will no longer be shopping at Kohl's from this point on or any of the other retailers that are opening ON THANKSGIVING. This is a day for family and giving thanks."

It remained to be seen tomorrow night if there would be more disgusted shoppers than people looking for good deals, the report said.
