Tech firm Revolv secured USD4 million in a recent funding round led by The Foundry Group. American Family Insurance and other existing investors also participated in the round. The latest round brings the startup's total funding to USD6.7 million. This was according to a report published by GigaOM.

Revolv is a tech startup based in Boulder, Colorado. The firm had built a hub that unifies all the connected gadgets in a home. The company launched this hub just two weeks ago, the report said.

Revolv also offers an app that gives users control over many devices. These devices include Sonos music systems, Hue light bulbs, and connected wall outlets. Users can also customize conditional rules for automation of gadgets. When a device is plugged into an automated outlet, users can set the time for turning it on and off, the report explained.

The home automation startup will use the new funding to expand its manpower. Revolv will also continue to add support for more connected devices, GigaOM reported.
