Tech firm Quarri raised USD2.35 million dollars today in its first funding round. The round was led by Wild Basin. Daylight Partners, Texas Halo Fund, and other unnamed investors also participated in the round. This was according to a report published by VentureBeat.

Quarri is a browser security company based in Austin, Texas. The firm believes that the browser is among the weakest links in a company's system. Quarri's browser protection products include Quarri Perimeter Shield, Quarri Armored Browser, and Quarri Data Safe. These three products work together to protect a user's browser from hack attempts. The products would also prevent insiders from distributing sensitive information, the report explained.

The tech company's products were made especially for enterprises. These institutions can lose a lot if someone tampers with their information, the report said.

Quarri hopes to raise a total of USD3 million within 90 days. The firm plans to use the new capital for its international expansion and product development. The company also plans to hire more people in its sales team, VentureBeat reported.
