Ziff Davis acquires TechBargains.com

Ziff Davis has acquired electronics aggregating siteTechBargain.com. The terms of the said deal were not disclosed, according to a report published by Los Angeles Business Journal.

Ziff Davis is the New York publishing unit of Hollywood-based Internet services provider J2 Global Inc. It is an all-digital media firm that focuses on the technology market. The company's portfolio includes IGN.com, ComputerShopper.com, LogicBUY.com, ExtremeTech, PCMag.com, and others. The firm helps marketers up their sales using a targeting platform for tech buyers. The company was purchased from Exponential Interactive Inc of Emeryville, according to Ziff Davis' company profile.

TechBargains is website that aggregates low-cost deals on computers, digital cameras, iPods, laptops, and other consumer electronics. The gadget bargain site is an addition to Ziff Davis' portfolio of digital media and publishing sites, the report said.

On Wednesday, J2 Global shares closed down 26 cents, which is less than 1%, to USD45.99 on Nasdaq, Los Angeles Business Journal reported.
