Mojave Networks snags USD5 million for mobile security

Mojave Networks (formerly Clutch Mobile) raised USD5 million in a funding round ld by Bessemer Ventures. Existing investor Sequoia Capital also participated in the round. This was according to a report published by VentureBeat.

The tech startup will use the new round of funding for its expansion and marketing efforts. Mojave will hire more developers, improve its data facilities, and boost its sales campaigns, the report said.

Mojave is a tech startup that specializes in network-level mobile security. The company was founded in 2011 and is presently headquartered in San Mateo, California, the report stated.

The tech firm offers cloud-based service that analyzes data from networks, apps, and devices to block threats and malwares. The service also allows IT administrator to block certain applications and prevent sensitive data such as social security numbers to leave the enterprise. Mojave also offers analytics and reporting tools for data leakages, phishing attempts, and network traffic, VentureBeat explained.
