Cloud connect platfrom Arrayent nabbed USD11.9 million from Doll Capital Management, Intel Capital, and Opus Capital. The company's total funding to date was USD14.6 million. This was according to a report published by GigaOm.

Arrayent is a company that provides cloud services for connected sensors. It is currently headquartered in Redwood City, California. The company was first organized in 2002 and was reorganized in 2005 to pursue the connected device business. Presently, the tech startup employs around 60 workers and expects to use the new funding to hire more employees. It now has high-profile clients such as Mattel, Whirlpool, and LiftMaster, the report said.

The cloud connect platform maker had built more opportunities for its own expansion around app-powered devices. The copany is taking a cue from Intel, which invests largely in internet-powered businesses. The startup would take this chance to expand its reach in the cloud market and rise above other cloud platform providers, GigaOm reported.
