According to a Bloomberg report, Siemens AG Joe Kaeser may be able to obtain USD7 billion in value should he break off the company's healthcare business. Kaeser was reportedly being wooed by investment banks about launching an initial public offering or to split from its healthcare business, said two sources who were familiar with the proceedings.

Societe Generale SA said Siemens' healthcare business as an independent company would be able to generate EUR5 billion or USD6.7 billion back to its investors. Bloomberg said in its report that its healtcare unit generates an annual revenue of EUR13.6 billion.

Commerzbank AG also suggested that Siemens would have to simplify its 60 sub unit-structure. Bloomberg seconded that the spin-off of the healthcare unit would allow Siemens to focus more on its core businesses. Bloomberg data showed that the valuation of Siemens fell in the median for companies in the industrial sector.
