In a report from Bloomberg, Hulu is very near to naming Mike Hopkins as its new CEO. He is to replace Andy Forssell. Once the hiring is confirmed, it would be the third change in leadership for Hulu after Forssell took the reins over from Jason Kilar.

For the interim, the controlling investors of Hulu, namely 21st Century Fox and Walt Disney have infused over USD750 million in fresh capital with the hope fortunes would turn around.

Hopkins would be the logical choice to set things back on course, as he is already a member of the board and President for Television distribution at Fox TV. According to Bloomberg, this gives him the leverage in negotiating with pay television services that Hulu's fee base may seek as a producer of original shows and content. The cable programming of the Fox Network had brought in USD10.9 bullion in revenue, according to Standard&Poor's Capital IQ.
