In an interview with CNN published on Friday, a voice actor claimed that her voice was used to put life in Apple's Siri. Siri is the intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator application of the tech giant's operating system iOS.

Atlanta-based Susan Bennett had worked with an audio-forensics expert tapped by CNN to authenticate her claim. The expert affirmed Bennett's claim that the voice of Siri was hers.

When asked for comment about Bennett's claim, Apple has yet to respond. News agency BBC noted that it is common practice in the voiceover industry to not disclose the talents behind certain products. This practice would reportedly leave the focus on products.

Siri was developed as an iOS application by Siri, Inc. Apple bought the company in April 2010. Although financial details were not disclosed, estimates were in the region of USD200 million based from the 8 to 10 multiple of Apple's previous acquisitions, said technology evangelist Robert Scoble.
