Twitter's deal for MoPub would not be challenged by antitrust regulators, said the Federal Trade Commission. The antitrust commission also said the offer was made ahead of MoPub's initial public offering.

On September 9, Twitter Inc announced that it would acquire MoPub in its biggest acquisition ever. Twitter paid USD350 million in stock for the acquisition of the mobile advertising exchange company. The deal had triggered an automatic FTC review to find out whether the transaction between Twitter and MoPub would hurt competition in the industry, said a Reuters report.

The approval for the transaction between Twitter and MoPub was announced last Monday. Reuters reported that the deal was on the list of transactions that the Federal Trade Commission approved. Twitter Inc. announced the acquisition transaction for MoPub just days before the social network platform revealed its IPO filing. Twitter had been expected to publicly trade at a valuation exceeding USD10 billion in the weeks to come.
