LogEntries, a startup of which its technology collects and analyzes data generated by machines to track application logs, had received USD10 million in its recent Series A funding round. The funding round was lead by investor Polaris Venture Partners, which also led their previous USD1.1 million seed round. The recent funding round was participated by RRE Ventures, local Irish firm Frontline Ventures and Floodgate. The round also saw Andrew Burton's appointment as LogEntries' cheif executive and president.

The company would be using the funds for development of their product and for company expansion. The appointment of Burton, who is a veteran in the software-as-service industry, would helped bear fruit LogEntries' goal. Burton had held executive roles previously in two startups who had initial public offerings.

LogEntries was founded in 2010 from the Performance Engineering Laboratory of the University College Dublin. The startup was the result of a decade-old research with IBM.
