Grand Theft Auto creator Rockstar North warned users anticipating the online launch of GTA 5 of possible problems.  Grand Theft Auto Online would be released today. It comes free with those holding GTA 5 console video game.  The online version would enable as many as 16 players to play the game virtually.

According to their blog, Rockstar said they would be buying and adding more servers for the launch of the online game. IGN's Keza MacDonald said an estimated 2 million players would probably try GTA Online for the first day. "Rockstar has never done an online game of this scale before, so they are totally unproven in terms of their network infrastructure. And even the highly successful World of Warcraft at its peak didn't have as many people playing online at once as GTA is likely to have, so it wouldn't surprise me if there were problems," MacDonald added.

Rockstar has said that worldwide sales of its GTA 5 surpassed the USD 1 billion in just three days. It beat the previous record holder "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" which sold USD 1 billion in 15 days. Chart Trak figures revealed that GTA 5 was the biggest game launch in the UK where it grossed USD 1.57 million in sales.
