Molex announces completed acquisition of FCT Electronics

Molex Incorporated was established in 1938 and operates as a global components company. Today, the firm announced completing its acquisition of Munich, Germany based FCT Electronics Group.

FCT Electronics specializes in manufacturing and designing cable assemblies and custom mixed-layout connectors. The acquisition of FCT would expand the presence of Molex in the global industrial, electronics, medical, aerospace and telecom markets.

Tim Ruff, Molex senior vice president of business development and corporate strategy said, "FCT Electronics Group is a great fit for Molex because it builds on our ability to provide customized connector and cable assembly solutions to a broader range of customers. FCT is well known for its technology and service as well as the depth and breadth of its product offerings.
