HookLogic had received a USD14 million Series B growth investment to further expand its leadership in the commerce search advertising industry. The new financing was led by Intel Capital after a previous USD9.5 million investment from Bain Capital back in 2011.

Bain also participated in the new funding round as well as other major players such as industry veteran Michael Barrett, the former CEO of AdMeld and the Chief Research Office of Yahoo.

The funding round followed the rapid expansion of the network of e-Commerce sites related to HookLogic. This network includes many online retailers, marketplaces, automotive sites and travel agencies. One of the key highlights was the launch of Retail Search Exchange, allowing brands to bid on items in real time.

According to Intel Media Director Rebecca Brown, "The Retail Search Exchange has quickly become an incredibly efficient marketin vehicle. The platform enables Intel to promote the products we want and see closed loop measurement of purchase activity. The return onspend and overall impact have been tremendous."
