Edge Products seeks bankruptcy protection

One of the leading manufacturers of electronics for vehicle manufacturers, Edge Products LLC, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. This was confirmed by court documents filed recently.

The company listed an estimated liabilities worth between USD100 million and USD500 million. Its asset base is worth between USD50 million and USD100 million. The documents also showed that for the twelve months ending July 31, the company was able to produce about USD8.2 million in net revenues.

Amongst the products manufactured under the Edge Products name are ignition systems and monitors for major vehicle manufacturers. The company also offers performance products, fuel efficiency products, programmers, and other racing products. The products are sold through dealers as well as online and real world dealers. The company was established back in 1999 and holds its headquarters in Ogden, UT.

The bankruptcy case filed is entitled In Re Edge Products LLC with Case No. 13-12295 in the US Bankruptcy Court in the District of Delaware.
