E.ON Connecting Energies acquires Matrix

In an announcement, E.ON Connecting Energies had formalized an agreement to acquire Matrix. Matrix is the UK market leader in efficient energy management  for commercial edifices. This agreement would be applicable to the 100% purchase of the issued share of stock in Green Sky Energy Limited, which is the parent firm of Matrix.

The said agreement was signed together with mid market private equity fund based in the UK, LDC as well as Matrix employee and management shareholders.

E.ON Connecting Energies is based out of Essen, Germany and is a fully owned subsidiary of E.ON. The company focuses on energy efficiency and energy distribution solutions in the business to business sector all over the world.

According to EON Connecting Energies CEO Herve Touati, "I am delighted with this acquisition and the opportunity to work with the 340 highly talented Matrix employees. This transaction is an important strategic move for us, allowing us to expand our position in the fast growing energy efficiency market. It adds a sophisticated, innovative offering to our existing services portfolio. We see tremendous opportunities from the combination of Matrix's deep data-led building energy expertise with our capital-led energy efficiency and on-site generation capabilities. This will allow us to provide our customers in the UK and continental Europe much greater control of their energy cost".
