Teralys Captial to Invest $50 Million in Cleantech

Teralys Capital Management had announced a Can$50 million investment in the clean technology sector of Québec. Teralys Capital Management, using its Teralys Capital Fund, financed private venture capital projects focused on investing in information technology, life sciences, and cleantech companies.Teralys Capital is to invest Can$25 million with Cycle Capital Fund and a further Can$25 million in EnerTech Capital Partners.

Cycle Capital, a venture capital fund that favors projects that help improve process efficiency, will invest in waste upgrading or transformation, clean energy and fuel, green agriculture and energy efficiency. EnerTech Capital, meanwhile, will focus its investments in companies that offer services and products that improve the production or consumption of energy.

The new investments are a testimony to Teralys Capital's strategy designed to build a solid venture capital ecosystem that engages with innovative companies in Québec. Teralys Capital has financed 14 funds since its inception which has provided Can$1.6 billion in financing to Québec entrepreneurs.
