CBS Corp and Time Warner Cable Inc. had reached an agreement after the cable blackout in some areas in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas. This would mean the end of a month long blackout of shows like "Under the Dome" and "60 Minutes".

Both companies did not disclose any information about how much Time Warner Cable would pay for CBS. The payment would include the right for CBS to air its affiliate programs in three cities. The agreement also included Showtime Anytime and video on demand for New York, Los Angeles and Dallas. This was according to an issued statement today.

The deal came before less than a week prior to the start of the National Football League's season on CBS. More than 3 million viewers did not have access to sport events including the early rounds of the US Open Tennis Tournament and golf's PGA Championship during the blackout.

The US Federal Communications Commission announced last August 28 that it was working with top executives of both companies to resolve the dispute. Time Warner had said that CBS asked for prices for the same programming that were too high than its other affiliates.
