Emirates NBD is the largest bank in Dubai. The financial institution would be hiring Manoj Chawla as the Chief Risk Officer in the company. This was according to two sources familiar with the move. Chawal worked as the Chief Country Risk Officer of Standard Chartered Plc. in the United Arab Emirates.

Chawla would replace Rajan Khetarpal, said people who asked not to be named as the matter was private in nature. The sources added that Khaterpal would become the Chief Integration Officer in the recently acquired Egyptian unit of Emirates NBD.

The above move was confirmed by a spokesman for Emirates NBD. However, the spokesperson also asked not to be named because of the company policy. A spokesperson for Standard Chartered confirmed the exit of Manoj Chawla.

This year, Emirates NBD had completed acquisition of French bank BNP Paribas SA's Egyptian unit. The acquisition deal was valued at USD500 million.
