CNH COO to be new CEO of merged firm

In an announcement, Fiat Industrial said the Chief Operating Officer Richard Tobin would run the new company formed between the merger of Fiat and CNH Industrial. This appointment was expected by many and would stand as the completion of the top tier management appointments for the company. 

According to Fiat Industrial and CNH Industrial Chairman Sergio Marchionne, through a statement, said "Rich will be assuming the position of Chief Executive of CNH Industrial upon completion of the merger."

Before joining CNH back in 2010, Tobin served as the CFO of the Geneva, Switzerland based SGS Group. At the time of the merger, he was the CEO of CNH Industrial. With the merger, Fiat Industrial would be moving its corporate headquarters to the Netherlands, while its primary stock listing would be in the United States.

Also assuming new responsibilities in the newly formed firm would be Massimiliano Chiara, who takes over as CFO from Pablo Di Si.
