KV Asia Capital scores USD 263 million for first fund

Singapore-based private equity firm KV Asia Capital said that it was able to raise capital commitments worth USD 263 million for its first fund. KV Asia Capital Fund I would be focusing its investments in South East Asia's fast growing economies. Investors of KV Asia Capital Fund I included financial firms, endowments, pension funds, family offices and fund of funds.

KV Asia Capital Executive Chairman Karam Butalia said, "We are pleased with the positive response to our offering and the recognition we have received. We have a high caliber team and are now eager to execute on our commitment to help mid-sized companies grow through operational value add and cross border activity."

The global placing agent for the transaction was MVision Private Equity Advisers. Partner Niklas Amundsson said that KV Asia Capital's success was due to its "proven long-term track record of delivering returns."

KV Asia Capital was founded in 2010. It invests in quality medium-sized firms located in South East Asia.
