Hewlett-Packard Co. CEO Meg Whitman made moves to replace chiefs of the computer manufacturer's marketing operation and enterprise group. Whiteman had the company's executive ranks shaken again as she looked to accelerate a turnaround in the company. This was according to people who were familiar with the matter.

The sources said that Dave Donatelli would be replaced by the HP's Chief Operating Officer Bill Veghte. The latter would take over as the head of Hewlett-Packard's enterprise group. Henry Gomez was promoted as chief marketing officer after working as the company's chief of communications. Gomez replaced the former communications' chief Marty Homlish. This was said by sources who asked not be named as the move was not yet public.

The quarterly results of Hewlett-Packard would be due later today. It would probably reflect further deterioration in HP's personal-computer division. CEO Meg Whitman had been confronted with dissatisfaction from the company's shareholders after three years of management upheaval.
