Coca Cola initially launched in Thailand its new herbal tea drink, Habu. Making good in its promise to fight global obesity, this healthy alternative to soda is made from four herbs.

These herbs, namely roselle, licorice, lou han guo and cogon grass, are proven to be remedies for common ailments such as fever, coughs and ulcers. Surprisingly Huba does not have the bitter taste associated with herbal drinks. However, Coca Cola does not plan to market Habu as a health product but only as an everyday beverage.

Sales of the sodas continue to grow in Asia with 17% volume sales growth in Thailand alone. But Huba is still projected to grow rapidly in its first year because of the large market for tea drinks in the country.

Depending on Huba's success in Thailand, distribution of the health drink in different countries all over the world may be seen in the near future.
