Nokia's head of developer relation quits for a job at Amazon

On Tuesday, Marco Argenti, head of developer relations in Nokia, announced that he left the Nokia. He would take a job at Amazon's Web Service Business after almost five years of working for Nokia.

"Its been an exciting ride at #Nokia, glad 2 have been part of and wishing great success 4 the future. Looking fw to a new chapter at #AWS," Argenti posted through his Twitter account. However, he declined to give further details regarding his departure and new job at the web services team of Amazon.

"Marco Argenti will be leaving Nokia to pursue other business interests. Marco has made a great contribution to Nokia, and we wish him well in his future endeavours," Nokia said through a statement.

During the second quarter, Nokia's revenue dropped to Eur3.7 billion, down from last year's Eur7.5 billion. Its Lumia sales in North America plunged from last year's 600,000 to this year's 500,000 units. Also, its total smartphone shipment volume decreased by 27% from the second quarter of 2012's 83.7 million to 2013's second quarter of only 61.1 million.
