This coming Thursday, Verizon Foundation and the University of California San Diego announced that they will exhibit the latest therapy system for tuberculosis. Their venture is aimed to ensure that patients with TB would follow their treatment schedule at the main campus of the university.

The two parties said that the program 'Video Directly Observed Therapy' would allow the patients to post their treatments each day on their smartphones. Then the health department could oversee the patients' regimen remotely based on the patients' data.

In line with the program, Cisco's Cloud Networking Group on Tuesday launched the Cisco Meraki MR34. The MR34 is the first cloud management service with 100% 802.11ac access point. The company launched the new access point in order to assist organizations on cloud technology. Cisco wanted to address the infrastructure demands as it manages the complex networks. Its recent solution would unite the Wi-Fi standard with security and management's innovations. According to a press release, the MR34 could boost wireless speeds, provide a safe access and run the wireless networking from the cloud.

Today, Cisco's share is expected to rise by more than 12% from a year ago. The company was expected to earn USD1.83 for every share. For the fiscal year 2013, analysts estimated that Cisco's revenue would reach USD48.60 billion.
