Marlin Equity Partners bought Asset Control for an undisclosed amount. The latter provides financial institutions around the world with solutions for data management. Banks and asset managers worldwide rely on Asset Control's ACPlus, its flagship product. It enables them to maintain data repositories that are used for product research and market risk reporting. Based in the Netherlands, Asset Control has 60 blue-chip clients around the world. CEO of Asset Control Dean Goodermote said they will be using the investment for growth to accelerate its new product and services. "Marlin's operational resources and financial services software experience make them the ideal partner to help us in our next phase of growth," he said.

Managing Director of Marlin Equity Partners Shawn McMorran, meanwhile, said he is excited to add Asset Control to their European portfolio. "Asset Control represents an excellent platform for growth in the data management and financial services software industry and is perfectly placed to take advantage of the cost and regulation driven growth in data management requirements at financial institutions," he added.
