Federal health officials are warning consumers not to use Rosabella-brand moringa powder capsules after a multistate Salmonella outbreak sickened seven people and led to three hospitalizations.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), along with state health departments, are investigating drug-resistant Salmonella infections linked to certain lots of the supplement.
Cases have been reported in Arizona, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee and Washington. No deaths have been reported.
The FDA said the outbreak strain is resistant to first-line and alternative antibiotics commonly used to treat Salmonella infections. Investigators interviewed three sick individuals, and all reported consuming the capsules.
Distributor Ambrosia Brands LLC has voluntarily recalled the affected Rosabella moringa powder capsules.
According to FoxBusiness, the product is sold in 60-count white bottles with a green lid and label. The capsules were available nationwide through the company's website, TikTok Shop and Amazon.
The company said none of the recalled lots were sold by them directly on Amazon and that it does not authorize resellers, though some third-party sales may have occurred on eBay, Shein and other sites.

FDA Lists Affected Rosabella Moringa Lot Numbers
Recalled lots begin with SKU number 1356 and end in "-1" or "-2." The lot codes, listed on the FDA's website, have expiration dates ranging from March 2027 to November 2027. Lot numbers are printed on the bottom of the bottle, CBS News reported.
"We continue to diligently investigate, in collaboration with FDA, this possible link of the salmonella outbreak to Rosabella Moringa Capsule," the company said in a statement.
"Ambrosia Brands is conducting this recall voluntarily and takes this matter very seriously. We apologize for the inconvenience and concern this recall may cause our customers."
The company added that it has stopped using moringa leaf powder from the supplier connected to the recalled lots.
Health officials urge consumers to throw away the capsules immediately and wash any surfaces that may have touched the product.
People who used the supplement should watch for symptoms such as high fever, diarrhea, vomiting and dehydration.
Salmonella can cause serious illness within 12 to 72 hours after exposure, especially in young children, older adults and people with weak immune systems.
In rare cases, the infection can spread to the bloodstream and lead to severe complications.
