Bed Bath & Beyond is back — with a twist. After filing for bankruptcy and shutting down all of its stores in 2023, the well-known home goods retailer is opening a brand-new store in Nashville under a slightly new name: Bed Bath & Beyond Home.

The new store opening this Friday is being brought to life by The Brand House Collective, the retailer you might remember as Kirkland's before its recent rebrand.

It now manages a number of brands, including Bed Bath & Beyond, Buy Buy Baby, Overstock, and the new Bed Bath & Beyond Home.

And yes — those big blue and white coupons that once filled mailboxes across America are returning, too.

"The coupon we all know and love is back," said the company in its store announcement. Even better? If you don't have one, you can grab a fresh copy at the door.

According to CBS News, this Nashville store is the first physical Bed Bath & Beyond location to open since all stores closed in 2023.

It's not exactly like the old stores — this new version has a tighter focus on seasonal decor, bedroom furniture, and bath and laundry items.

First 25 Shoppers Get Free Mattress at Bed Bath & Beyond Grand Opening

Starr Hudgens, chief of staff at The Brand House Collective, said the team plans to experiment with different product mixes by category and brand.

She noted that the store's design will still echo the original Bed Bath & Beyond style but with a more updated and focused layout.

To kick off the grand opening, the first 25 shoppers to buy something will get a free 10-inch queen-size memory foam mattress worth $226.99, USA Today said.

CEO Amy Sullivan called the return a chance to give the brand a fresh start: "This isn't just a store — it's a fresh start for a brand that means something special to so many families."

More stores are also on the way. Four additional Bed Bath & Beyond Home locations will open soon in the Nashville area, with more possibly coming in 2026 depending on what shoppers respond to.

The original Bed Bath & Beyond had over 300 stores before bankruptcy. In 2023, Overstock.com acquired the brand and moved its entire operation to an online-only model.

Later, it partnered with The Container Store to sell products in over 100 locations, investing $40 million in the deal.

Retail experts believe the relaunch faces big challenges but still has a chance to succeed.

John Bringardner, executive editor at Debtwire, noted that while the company has made major changes to turn things around, its financial struggles mean the road ahead will be difficult.
