Target is on the rise again, and shoppers across the U.S. might soon spot a brand-new store opening in their area.
Target, based in Minneapolis, just shared plans to open at least 48 new stores in 22 different states.
As part of the expansion, Florida and Texas are set to get six new Target stores each, making them key focus areas in the rollout.
"From the Big Apple to the California coast and in between, our stores are at the center of how we serve our guests," the company said on its website.
Target emphasized that it chooses store locations carefully, considering the needs of each community and nearby retail options.
According to USA Today, some of the new store locations include Buckeye, East Mesa, and Queen Creek in Arizona; Bakersfield and Fresno in California; and cities like Denver, Colorado and Norwalk, Connecticut.
More stores are also set to open in Ohio, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, and many others.

Target Expands With New Florida and Texas Store Locations
In Florida, new stores will open in cities such as Bradenton, Winter Haven, Lake Nona, and Wesley Chapel.
In Texas, customers can expect new stores in Dallas, Forney, Fort Worth, Katy, Little Elm, and Stafford, Merca said.
Target's goal is to make shopping "easy, inspiring and affordable," the company said. The store designs are being developed with input from local leaders and are intended to meet the unique needs of each area.
The retailer hasn't confirmed exact opening dates yet, but the new locations are expected to open sometime this year.
This announcement is part of Target's larger growth strategy. In recent years, the company has focused on expanding both its physical stores and online presence.
The brand has also added more private-label products and even incorporated mini Disney stores inside some locations.
Founded in 1902, Target has grown into one of the largest retail chains in the US, known for its clean stores, affordable prices, and trendy merchandise.
Despite a brief expansion into Canada during the 2010s, the company has since shifted its focus back to the US market.
