Adobe Launches New Acrobat AI Assistant, But It's Not Free — Here’s What You Need to Know

Adobe has unveiled a new artificial intelligence-powered product called Acrobat AI Assistant, designed to assist users in understanding digital documents. Its monthly subscription plans start at $4.99.

Adobe Unveils Acrobat AI Assistant

The company has introduced a free beta version of the mobile tool, which can respond to voice commands. The service is also being extended to Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome through browser extensions.

According to Adobe, the subscription pricing for this feature is initially offered as an "early access" rate and may be subject to change in the future.

"Whether it's doing taxes, collaborating on contracts, or creating and sharing research papers, Acrobat is the trusted platform for PDFs," Abhigyan Modi, senior vice president of Adobe Document Cloud, said in a statement

"Acrobat AI Assistant empowers billions of people to shift from reading documents to having a conversation - enabling them to get insights and format and share content from all kinds of digital documents - quickly and easily," he added.

Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant Plans

The capabilities of Acrobat AI Assistant are broad-ranging. It enables users to extract key information from lengthy transcripts, identify significant findings in research reports, create study guides, locate crucial details in technical documents, and more.

Customers can access the full range of Acrobat AI Assistant capabilities through free Reader or paid Acrobat plans, with the option to purchase a new AI Assistant add-on subscription. Early access pricing for the subscription starts at $4.99 per month.

Plans are available for desktop and web platforms in English, with support for other languages forthcoming. The mobile beta version is now available for free in English within the Reader mobile app for a limited time.
