Joe Biden Used Donald Trump's Phrase 'Make America Great Again'

According to Reuters, Joe Biden told his supporters in Las Vegas, Nevada: "We need housing that's affordable... For too many people, the dream of having a home - it feels out of reach."

Biden then used Donald Trump's trademark phrase "make America great again" to criticize the Republican challenger for wanting more tax cuts for wealthy people while touting his proposed minimum tax on billionaires.

"We could invest in things that make America great again: childcare, a whole range of things we could do," the president noted.

Afterward, Biden flew to Arizona, where he said that the November election "isn't a referendum on me, it's between me and a guy named Trump." Arizona is another battleground state crucial in the upcoming presidential election rematch.

Joe Biden Blames Donald Trump For High Rents

A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll shows that Joe Biden had a one percentage point lead over Donald Trump among registered voters. As he faces a tough fight against Trump, Biden has embarked on a three-day campaign swing through Nevada, Arizona, and Texas, criticizing Trump's policies while highlighting his plans if given a second term.

The Biden administration, which worries that high rents and mortgage interest rates will contribute to voters' sour views on the economy, blamed the previous administration's lack of action on housing costs.

On the other hand, Trump has criticized Biden for his economic policies that caused inflationary spirals and has proposed the creation of new "freedom cities" on federal land to provide additional housing options.

Rachel Lee, a spokesperson for the Republican National Committee, told Reuters that "the two greatest impediments to home ownership are high interest rates and skyrocketing costs of living, both driven by Joe Biden's failed economic policy."
