Microsoft Unveils AI-Powered 'Copilot for Security'

The new tool aims to assist cybersecurity professionals in generating summaries of suspicious incidents and uncovering the intricate tactics hackers use to conceal their motives.

The "Copilot for Security" is touted as the industry's first generative AI solution, designed to enhance the capabilities of security and IT professionals.

Leveraging extensive data and threat intelligence, including over 78 trillion security signals processed daily by Microsoft, Copilot provides tailored insights and guidance to bolster security operations.

According to Microsoft, Copilot has undergone rigorous testing, with promising results indicating increased efficiency and accuracy among experienced security analysts.

The study revealed that professionals utilizing Copilot were 22% faster and 7% more precise across various tasks compared to their counterparts. Impressively, around 97% of participants expressed a desire to continue using Copilot for future tasks.

Microsoft Offers Pay-As-You-Go Licensing Model

In addition to its performance benefits, Microsoft aims to make Copilot for Security accessible to a broader range of organizations through a provisioned pay-as-you-go licensing model.

This pricing approach enables organizations to tailor their usage and costs based on their needs and budget. With its general availability set on April 1, Copilot will be accessible worldwide and support multiple languages, catering to diverse geographic regions.
