The focus of the recently elected Parliamentary upper house led by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe remained to be the Japanese economy's revival. He said in a speech today that he will be reviving a stagnant market, and prove detractors wrong about his nationalist agenda.

With this victory, Abe's hold over the country tightened. This looks good for those who trust in the Prime Minister's plan to bring back an economy ravaged by catastrophe.

"If we retreat from reforms and return to the old Liberal Democratic Party, we will lose the confidence of the people," said Abe.

"It is a historic project. We will concentrate on that. We won't be able to strengthen the financial base for social security without a strong economy The same goes for security and diplomacy," explained the popular prime minsiter.

Out of the 121 seats fought over, the Liberal Democratic Party of Shinzo Abe managed to clinch 76.
